In honor of America Recycles Day on November 15, Keep Greene Beautiful hosted a Trash Art Competition for K–12 students to promote recycling and creative reuse.
Students from Chuckey-Doak High School, Chuckey-Doak Middle School, West Greene Middle School, Tusculum View Elementary, and the local home school community participated in this inspiring event.
The winning entries- two owls, a whale, a lava lamp, and a nativity scene- are featured at The Greeneville-Greene County History Museum.
Tusculum View had two winners- Ivy L with her pink and white owl and Scarlett H with her Nativity scene.
Tusculum View also had participants Leora, Annalyn, and Jayla.

All submitted artwork will be on display at the Greeneville Greene County History Museum through December 13. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The community may visit and celebrate these students’ creativity and commitment to sustainability.
Looking ahead, Keep Greene Beautiful will host another Trash Art Competition in April in celebration of Earth Day. Stay tuned for details!
Thank you for supporting recycling and environmental stewardship in Greene County! Way to go, Tigers!
